Indeed, a yogurt product must feature specific bacteria: Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus, which are not probiotics and not found in Bio-K+® fresh drinkable products. While yogurts are nutritious, they do not provide the same health benefits as our products. As for probiotic yogurts, these are products to which probiotic bacteria were added in powder form (dormant bacteria) at the end of their manufacturing process. Our products differ in several key ways: bacterial activity (active vs. dormant), the fermentation process, the amount of probiotic bacteria, etc.
