Following the results of the study conducted at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, Pierre-Le-Gardeur Hospital administered Bio-K+^® to all of its antibiotic-treated patients, in order to control an infectious disease that had plagued the hospital for several months and had failed to respond to the usual treatments. Dr Pierre-Jean Maziade summarizes: “We witnessed results within a month. All severe cases improved. The number of patients fell by 50%, and today we document no more than two cases per 1000 admissions, which is 90% less we had the month prior. These results had never been attained before, not even before the initial outbreak”.
